Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.) and Representative Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) introduced the Arbitration Fairness Act, S. 878 and H.R. 1844 on May 7, 2013. The legislation would prohibit pre-dispute binding mandatory arbitration in employment, consumer, civil rights, and antitrust disputes.
